Maureen (Mo) Beange
Maureen (Mo) Beange qualified as a Therapeutic Radiographer (Edinburgh) in 1989 and completed a BSc in Psychology in 1998. She has worked at Raigmore Hospital (Inverness), and part time as the first chair of the Therapeutic Radiographers Practice Development Network for NHS Quality improvement Scotland (2007-2009). Mo has worked across both pre-treatment and treatment, setting up the non-medical review service with a nurse colleague in 2006, before becoming the first radiographer non-medical prescriber in Scotland (2009). She became Superintendant Radiographer at Treatment in 2009, continuing to co-lead the non-medical review and prescribing service. Having further developed her management role and achieving Institute of Leadership & Management awards, she was appointed as Radiotherapy Manager/Head of Therapeutic Radiography in 2017. She subsequently handed over implementation of Deep Inspiration Breath Hold to her replacement, after being instrumental in agreeing the use of AlignRT.
