Tony Howell is Professor of Medical Oncology at the University of Manchester at The Nightingale Breast Screening Centre and the Manchester Cancer Research Centre. His major interest is in the biology of the breast and breast cancer and improving approaches to prevention of the disease and has written, with colleagues, over 700 papers mainly on these subjects.
Improving risk estimation of breast cancer
Precise estimation of risk of breast cancer is important to define approaches to prevention of the disease. This seminar will illustrate how mammographic density and breast cancer risk associated single nucleotide polymorphisms improve prediction.
