Our Psychologist supports individuals on a one-to-one basis as well as running timetabled group sessions focusing on specific cancers.
Cancer Support Specialists
Our Cancer Support Specialists are experienced professionals, who guide people to the information and support they need. They also run courses and workshops.
Our Benefits Advisors help people to access their full range of entitlements to benefits and grants, as well as supporting them with other welfare issues.
We also have members of staff who come into our Centres to provide sessions on nutrition, relaxation, art therapy and creative writing.
"The emotional trauma of cancer can be just as difficult as the physical effect. Maggie's Centres help in a way that is a natural extension of our clinical work. For our cancer patients what Maggie's does is vital"
Prof. Bob Leonard, Chief of Service Medical Oncology
"We only have a limited amount of time to talk to patients, and faced with cancer people only take in so much at a time. Maggie's makes the information available when people are ready to use it"
Alistair Thompson, Professor of Surgical Oncology, University of Dundee Medical School
